The Volkov family has always been a family with much pride.. Always has been a pure bloodline. No muggles, muggle-borns or half-bloods have been part of it. There has, as far as history goes, been only one very known wizard from the Volkov family. Ivan Volkov, Beater for the Bulgarian National Quidditch team. Not all Volkov's were totally loyal and good, but that goes way back.
Rosier is the surname of a pure-blood wizarding family, and one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. They are related to the Black, Lestrange and Malfoy families. Given these relations, as well as the participation of two Rosiers in the First Wizarding War as Death Eaters, it is likely that the Rosiers place great importance on their pure-blood heritage, disdain Muggles and Muggle-borns, and practice the Dark Arts.
