Backstory

Here's the story of when I got my wand. I'll update more on my life later..
After getting everything prepared for my arrival at Hogwarts my uncle reminded me of one thing we forget to check off of our list. That was a wand. My uncle is my primary guardian and he is a Squib and he didn't have the luxury of searching for a wand himself so he had no idea where to go. The reason why my uncle was my primary guardian was because my parents worked a lot. Unlike my uncle my parents were apart of the wizarding world and possessed magical abilities. They just weren't the best parents and finances & power held them back from becoming that so I lacked a lot of basic knowledge every witch by now had. So, we asked around and many people told us to go to Ollivander. According to them he was the premier wand crafter in the world.

My uncle and I walked in and he told me to have a look around while he waited and sat outside the entrance of the small shop. I strolled to the back of the shop and spotted a fancy looking beige box. I took it and opened it holding the wand itself in my hand when Ollivander himself startled me. He smiled and took the box and held it in his hand. "Well, give it a flick!" He smiled. I looked around and waved it at a wall of shelves behind me and the whole thing combusted right then and there. I quickly turned and put the wand in the box he was holding. "Oh dear" He said. "Follow me". We walked to the front desk and he left me there while I watched him go behind the desk and onto the latter to reach for another wand.

He came down holding a black box to his chest walking warily towards me. When he slowly opened it inside was a a dark brown almost black wand lying in a red velvet material. He cautiously lifted it and held it out to me. As soon as I grabbed a hold of it, the tip of the wand emitted a bright white light that lasted a second and the lights in the shop got brighter in a good way and suddenly the wand became comfortably warm in my hand. When everything settled the wand was still in my hand when Ollivander mumbled something. "Unusual."

"What's unusual?" I responded. He went on the say that my wand was composed of a very unusual combination. Holly wood and Phoenix feather. Holly is one of the rarer kinds of wand woods; traditionally considered protective, it works most happily for those who may need help overcoming a tendency to anger and impetuosity. At the same time, Holly wands often choose owners who are engaged in some dangerous and often spiritual quest. Holly is one of those woods that varies most dramatically in performance depending on the wand core and it is a notoriously difficult wood to team with phoenix feather, as the wood's volatility conflicts strangely with the phoenix's detachment. In the unusual event of such a pairing finding its ideal match, however, nothing and nobody should stand in their way. He went on to say that Phoenix feathers are the rarest core types. They are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards apparently dislike. Phoenix feather wands are always the pickiest when it comes to potential owners, since the creature they are taken from is one of the most independent and detached in the world. These wands are the hardest to tame and to personalize, and their allegiance is usually hard won. My wand was 10 3/4 inches in length and had a springy flexibility.

"The only other wizard whose had a wand similar to this was-" He looked at me. "What's your name?"

"Bella Emrys Potter" I answered.

"Of course" He smiled.
