Backstory

Hello Everyone. My name is Amirah LaScrib. I am an undercover journalist posing as a HOH student.

My true history and identity has been purged from existence, even from me. All I do know is that I am a skilled Metamorphmagus. Journalist and Seer. I work for a secret organization within the Ministry of Magic's Department of Mysteries, unofficially known as the Magical Talent Chamber. The MTC specializes in the preservation of unique magic, as well as identifying young witches and wizards who have unique magical skills. Such talented magicians are usually tracked and eventually recruited to work for the MTC. MTC Headquarters is a low profile News Organization called Magicians Post Monthly. Of course the Organization is a front for the MTC, so the exact location is unplottable. Recruits are tagged with a magical marker and access the MTC Headquarters using Apparition, Portkey or Floo Network to arrive at a specific destination point. MTC is home to a secret underground of witches and wizards.

At HOH, I am a first year Ravenclaw student who was born on April 24. I am a Half-Blood Witch from Briarton-Blaise in Cornwall, England. Briarton-Blaise is a small witch-friendly Human Village near Tinworth. My human-born mother (Elizabeth) was an artist who died when I was 10 years old, shortly before coming to HOH. My Pureblood father (Percival Alexander) is a journalist for The Quibbler. He recently returned to work in the Wizarding World after my mother's death. While I'm not shy, I tend to keep to myself (as keeping a low profile is essential in my undercover capacity). I have an owl named Aristotle and my Patronus is a Dapple Grey Mare called Raegan. I am a bright student with natural skills in Divination, especially Oneiromancy (Dream Interpretation) and Cartomancy (Tarot). My aspirations are to be a journalist like my father or to be a Seer. I am strongly considering joining one of the local school papers. Unknown to fellow students and teachers, I am also quite skilled in Occlumency and Legilimency (which are essential for keeping my true identity concealed).

I left HOH earlier in the year as I found myself wondering if HOH was right for me. I recently received an invitation to return to HOH and have decided to slowly dip my toes in the waters. I must confess, I truly missed my coursework. It's good to be back.
