<summary>Life Before Hogwarts (Back Story)</summary>
I was born on November 24, 2003 in America. I was born to Larissa Astra Black (Neé di Angelo) & Phoenix Atlas Black. Both of my parents come from pure blood families, and as you can tell, both have astronomy/astrology/mythology based names and wanted to follow the tradition and named me Nova Astrid.

My parents are always busy with their jobs, but always make time for my sister and I. My mum is an Auror & Healer and my Dad is an Auror. Both of my parents attended Ilvermorny but during their 4th year, they transferred to Hogwarts. My mum was a Wampus at Ilvermorny and a Slytherin at Hogwarts while my dad was a Thunderbird at Ilvermorny and a Gryffindor at Hogwarts.

My parents were rivals during their years at Ilvermorny and Hogwarts, but it wasn't until my mum saved my dad from a dark wizard attack where they finally started to get along. They work together as Aurors (like how Detectives in the Muggle world have partners) and eventually got married in January 2003.

I was raised in the Wizarding World, but at the Age of 4 I started to attend a Muggle Art School. My parents do not believe that certain Blood Statuses are superior than others and wanted me to experience what it is like to live as a Muggle. My parents wanted to me experience what it is like to go to school as a Muggle since they knew I was going to be accepted into Ilvermorny or Hogwarts.

Once my 11th Birthday arrived, I was told that I was accepted into Ilvermorny where I studied for 5 years. My parents were aware of the sorting and wand process but took me to Diagon Alley to get my wand before hand (they were quiet rebellious), it took 3 tries before I found the perfect wand. When I arrived at Ilvermorny, I was immediately sorted into Thunderbird. I had a few close friends, it's not the quantity but the quality of friends, which I trust and love. My Ilvermorny experience was great and I miss my friends but we still owl each other.

On my 16th birthday, I got my Hogwarts letter and accepted immediately. Even though I went to Ilvermorny, I always wanted to know what it was like to study at Hogwarts. My parents decided to move to England so that it would be easier for me to attend Hogwarts. I was sorted into Gryffindor (I was bit of a Hat Stall) and I got my dorm, which was surprisingly all to myself. I wanted to get the full experience so I am starting Hogwarts at a First-Year level but my courses I will be a mixture of different year courses so that I am caught up with my class.

(Nova: is a bright star that keeps appearing and fading over a few months
Astrid: Old Norse origin, and the meaning of Astrid is "beautiful goddess")

<summary>Hogwarts House and Sorting Hat Experience</summary>
I am a Gryffindor, but I do have a lot in common with the Slytherin attributes. I was a major Hatstall. The Sorting Hat could not decided whether to place me in Gryffindor or Slytherin, but in the end I believe that I was placed into Gryffindor because of my bravery, courage, daring personality, but also because I am good at working as a team. Even though I can be ambitious, cunning, and do often demonstrate leadership, I don't always like being cunning.

It is my first year at Hogwarts, even though I am not 11, but I guess my letter came a lot later than expected. The courses that I am taking include Astronomy, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Transfiguration, History of Magic, and Potions. Even though I love all of my classes, my favorite classes are DADA, Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, and Astronomy.

I am a Pureblood Witch. Blood status should not define who a person is, who you should be friends with, nor where they lie in the "hierarchy". I personally admire to Muggleborns since they get to live a life of a Muggle and a Witch/Wizard and they also have to put up with Purebloods that believe that blood status is everything. Our blood status should not affect the friendships we make or the way we treat other wizards and witches.

<summary>Life After Hogwarts & Characteristics</summary>
I find magic absolutely fascinating and I want to use magic in order to help others. After I graduate from Hogwarts, I want to become a Auror. Some of my strengths include leadership, courage, team work, ambitious, cunning, open mindedness, compassion, and sarcasm. While some of my weaknesses include being too blunt and impulsive. I feel like some of these characteristics are needed to become an Auror but even then, it has always been my dream.

1st Pet: Orion
Species: Black Barn Owl
Characteristics: He is loyal, very energetic, happy, and very sweet.
Story behind his name: As you can see in his picture, the colors that he has on his feathers remind me of the dark galaxy that we live in, while the white "spots" that his feathers have remind me of the constellations. The name Orion means "The Hunter". Orion, being a Black Barn Owl is not only a great messenger owl but an amazing hunter as well.

2nd Pet: Ophiuchus
Species: Common Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula)
Characteristics: Fairly Clingly, Can be Kind of Aggresive, and is pretty protective.
Story behind her name: As you can see in her picture, she has a black and greenish tinge to her skin. I was immediately reminded of the Ophiuchus Constellation when I saw her and decided that was the perfect name for her. Ophiuchus means "serpent bearer" and is often affiliated with healing images, and since she is a Kingsnake, they tend to eat other poisonous snakes.

<summary>Hobbies and Music I Listen To</summary>
Martial Arts: I have done several types of Martial Arts forms. I have been in Taekwondo for 9 years ( I am a JR. Black Belt aka Poom Belt), I have also done some Brazilian Jiu Jistu, Judo, Muay Thai, Karate, Kick Boxing and Kali (the Filipino Martial Arts also known as Arnis & Eskrima/Escrima).
Reading: I have read all of the Percy Jackson Series, Heroes of Olympus Series, The Pegasus Series (by Kate O'Hearn), the Harry Potter Series, the Kane Chronicles, The Chronicles of Narnia (Books 1-7), Les Miserables, The Hunger Games, The Maze Runner (Most of it), and other series. I am currently reading the Harry Potter Series.
