Ophelia

Backstory

My name is Ophelia Smyth, a first year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I was homeschooled since a young age by my mother, along with my older siblings. My father was never around much of my childhood, but fortunately he managed to support our large family. I'm more of an introvert type, probably because of my three much louder siblings. It was constantly a battle for my mother and father's attention, I always wanted to please them, since they were such powerful wizards. My brother always bested me at sports, and my sisters at wizardry. I pushed myself towards my studies, and excelled academically. The only subject I had difficulties in was magic, and thankfully my oldest sister assisted me in wizardry. I surprisingly had a talent, and started taking more time practicing magic. I lacked social strengths and had no friends other than family. I found peace and happiness in art, so I started taking up sketching and painting as a hobby. My father gifted me an art set for my birthday soon after, I was so excited I kept drawing and painting, and I never really stopped. As any normal modern kid I'm happily addicted to TikTok and anime, also why I took up Japanese. The Hogwarts letter didn't quite come as a surprise, but I was breath taken away when I laid my eyes on Hogwarts for the first time. Even more stunning than how beautiful my siblings have described. My eldest sister graduated a year prior and my other brother and sister are in the Gryffindor house. I didn't doubt that I would end up in Ravenclaw, given my fantastic grades and talent in magic. I may be shy, but my personality shines through after getting to know me better.
