Backstory

Halloween has always been my favorite time of year and I didn't make sense until I received a letter one day in September...
The letter didn't come on my eleventh birthday like most students though, it can on my fifteenth!?! Since I live in Alaska, snowstorms had prevented the letter from reaching me until one lucky night it stopped snowing and a worn-out letter arrived in my mailbox! I started prepping as soon as I saw the Hogwarts emblem on the envelope and soon made arrangments for the knight bus to pick me up at noon the next Monday. My parents being muggles thought the whole thing was a joke until I walked into a fireplace. We were at our local bookstore that had a little coffee shop inside. I went over to the counter and for a gilly water and the lady look up smiled and handed me a bottle with a sand like substance inside. She pointed to the fireplace in the bookstore and said "Just say your destination". I walked back to my parnets and pulled them over to the fire place where I threw the sand like substance in and the fire turned green. I stepped into it and my parents stared to say no until they realized I wasn't screaming. I pulled them in with me and said "The Wizarding bookstore" and then I closed my eyes... Now I'm here at Hogwarts waiting for breakfast to be served and for my classes to start!
