Backstory

Beth grew up in a loving home with 8 brothers and sisters and three of her cousins. Her father is a ministry worker and is married to the love of his life, whom he grew up with even though she is a muggle and she is fully aware of his magical status. After about 8 years of marriage and 4 children they finally welcomed Beth and her twin sister, April, a few weeks after turning 5 where getting ready for bed when a massive werewolf burst through their window (they are on the first story) and basically tore the up their bedroom and attacked both Beth and April, the girls screams woke up the rest of the house and the girl’s father only managed to scare the beast back through the hole in the window. Unfortunately April was badly injured and spent a total of 16 days in St. Mungos, with Beth by her side constantly. Beth’s first sign of accidental magic happened shortly after the attack as anger towards herself built, mainly due to the fact she now thought herself a burden, and then pretty much caused her magic to explode causing the coffee table in front of her to catch fire. Beth’s father thankfully was in the kitchen washing a cut that April got when she fell earlier that day, and managed to put the fire out without any significant damage done to the home.

While both of her parents and siblings were pretty shaken up over the event, the entire family worked to calm and assure her that she was not in trouble. Even though she was scared senseless and did not understand what had happened. Of course after she had recovered from turning, her father sat her and her sister down to make sure that they realized what had happened, how it happened, what that it would happen for the rest of their lives. Beth of course was devastated because the pain was unbearable but April who is always the stronger one of the two took this in her fiver year old ‘I can do anything’ stride. About three months after that incident the family welcomed yet another baby into their lives (this would actually be the 8th and final biological child) which they named Liam.

Before the werewolf attack however, Beth was schooled at the local school, and didn’t make any friends so with this and her outburst after her attack her father decided to homeschool her out of an abundance of caution. Alongside regular muggle subjects, Beth’s father also began teaching her about the magical world which he always did with her older siblings but also taught her that she might face some backlash at being a werewolf. At first Beth didn’t really understand what it meant, however when she turned for the first time she realized that she absolutely hated being a werewolf, because of the pain and because she views herself as a monster. However her parents and siblings were very supportive towards both Beth and April, who took it like a champ. Beth has always been closest to her mother and Liam and enjoyed going to the local theatre with Liam, who is very clingy towards her.

Then a little before the beginning of August she got her Hogwarts acceptance letter, which she disliked, because this meant leaving her brother and mother, and because it meant leaving her home for some strange new place. Her father and mother were of course happy about her getting her letter along with the rest of her siblings except for Liam who practically worships the ground she walked upon as she was the only sibling who didn’t really tease him for being the youngest, mainly he didn’t want to lose his movie buddy and ally. She of course later boards the train to Hogwarts where she was sorted into Hufflepuff, which did not surprise her or her family as Beth is a shy, kind quiet girl who keeps to herself,.
