Backstory

As a quiet, studious Muggle-born girl with a love for all kinds of books, receiving my Hogwarts Letter in the mail brought a glimmer to my eyes. I lifted the red wax seal from the paper and slid the letter out of the envelope, curiosity pulsing through my veins. As I read each line of the letter carefully, and four more times after that, everything began to make sense. I recalled the time when my grade school bully's hair swarmed with bees after teasing me for my glasses, and the moment when I scraped my knee and healed it with a simple glance. Of course, when I showed my Muggle parents, they didn't believe Hogwarts was real, but when I finally convinced them to take me to Diagon Alley, boy were they surprised! I was, too! There, I purchased my very own wand made of oak and two unicorn hairs, my books for all my courses (I am especially excited for Transfiguration and Potions!), and a Tawny Owl I named Delta. I am so excited to start my first year at Hogwarts and learn all there is to know about this magical place!
