Brief History:
Rehua Syraha, daughter of a half magical father and a squib mother. The ancestry of both parents goes back to the first colonists to the Americas, the Mayflower, and to the locals who were present before that ship made land. As the firstborn of her parents, she was both example and the first attempt of her parents to get a handle on being parents. Younger childhood was spent in non-magical school, learning to read and write, and benefitting from stories from a variety of cultures. She found herself on the edge of wilds all through growing up. She was taught from a very early age that not all wilds are passive and safe. No, indeed. When she went to visit her grandparents, she played in wilds where magical creatures could be found. Sometimes, they revealed themselves to her. If it wasn't in her family's yards, it was when they went camping. She was immersed in the wilds and how they interacted with humankind. There was always magic and it was beautiful to her.

She was born in the Americas and grew up in Ilvermorny's jurisdiction. When the time came, she took the invitation and went to school. The Americas, being a very different place, still taught her much of the important magical concepts that went on to inform the educational pursuits she would take once she had graduated properly. Her first wand was crafted very carefully and was very well suited to dreams, to divination, and to much gentler magics that calmed the mind. It was a Silver Linen wood wand, at 9.5 inches, with a New World Acromantula web core. In time, she would master her use of calming magics and would passively ease the concerns and fears of her nonmagical friends and kindred.

Her pursuits and desire to undertake wandmaking had her turned her attention to the old world and to older masters. Knowing her wand's core was illicit, despite the nature of New World acromantulas being very different from those of the old world, she visited Ollivander's shop to purchase a new wand, which would serve her as she traveled the UK and worked under other masters.

Her second wand was an Alder Wood wand, with unicorn hair, at 9.75” and slightly springy disposition. And so, while she is here, she audits Hogwarts' courses, seeking to further improve her skills.

If anyone is curious, she might have been a Ravenclaw, were she a student at Hogwarts.

These days, she reads and studies and practices her craft in the quiet sanctuary of the wild Olympic Mountains. When she is not crafting, she is reading, writing, and repairing the broken things that are brought to her.
