Backstory

At Hogwarts, I was a Slytherin, but the Hat considered Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw before making its decision. Naturally, Transfiguration was one of my favorite classes, but I also truly enjoyed Charms, Ancient Runes, and DADA. I was acceptable at Arithmancy and quite good at History of Magic, but didn't enjoy the way in which it was taught. I am technically a pureblood, but my father is a Squib and my mother never a got a letter. As I am not a native Brit, my nationality comes up more than my blood status in the British Wizarding World. In fact, I rather expected a letter from Durmstrang or one of the Italian schools if I received a school letter from Europe. I am a quick and creative thinker, which has only strengthened my Transfiguration talents, but I have strong tendency toward caution over impulsivity. I am still looking for my dream job, one where I can push the boundaries of what magic can do. I am ambitious, and want to leave a mark on the world, but I also care about making the lives of others better. But sometimes I'd like to just spend my life reading and writing about everything and anything that interests me. I have two cats, a barn owl, and a black kingsnake. My cats are named Prudence and Primrose; Prudence is rather overly curious and Primrose is a fussy. affectionate scaredy-cat. My owl is named Freya. I've had her since fifth year, and she's starting to become crotchety, but gets angry if I try to have another owl deliver my post. My snake is named Crowley, and they love to slither all over me, likely because I'm warm. They're a very laid back snack unless it's shedding season. My mother's family has parselmouths pop up occasionally, and has a rather intimidating reputation back in Sicily; it's her family name that I and my siblings got. Speaking of which, I have one older brother, two little sisters, and a twin.
