Backstory
(Younger Student) When I first recieved my Hogwarts letter... that beautiful day... everything changed... I saw the world in a glorious light. That's what I think of when I cast my patronus, a white mare. She is so gorgeous, sometimes I want to reach out and touch her gorgeous shining coat, but then I remember she's just an apparition. Until I was ten years old, not that long ago, my perspective on the world was completely different, it was dark... and gloomy. It felt like I didn't have a home. Of course, I had a house, but although I've only been at Hogwarts for about a year, it feels like home. When I was younger I used to imagine I had somewhere to go, somwhere beautiful and magical. When I came to Hogwarts, I really did. It was no longer "all in my head" as my mother would say. Whenever I confided in her about feeling different, special almost, she would say, "I'm sick of your imaginings, Megan, focus on real life and for goodness' sake, act like a lady!"Of course, I was devastated when she told me this. I thought it really was all in my head. But I always felt there was something missing... deep down in my heart, I knew that I was different. I was special.
When I got to Hogwarts, my heart felt like it had opened. Half of me thought I was going to be sent away... but when I was sorted into Hufflepuff, everyone was loving and accepting. I met one of my best friends, Susan Bones. She was a few years or so below me but nobody really minded. She understood me, and I understood her. I thought I would hhave no chance of a fairy tale happy ending, but now... I feel like I may, perhaps, you never know...
