Backstory
When I received my Hogwarts letter, I didn’t know what it meant. At first, I thought it was just a joke, you know? My younger brother sometimes played pranks on me or blamed me when some weird stuff happened around the house. How was I supposed to know regular pencils couldn’t write in all the colors of the rainbow? But my parents were thrilled to have a witch in the family! And so was I. I reckon my brother was kinda jealous though. I mean I get to go to Hogwarts and he has to stay at the boring muggle school. Anyways, the very same week I received my letter, my family flew all the way to London. We were all dying to see Diagon alley! And we were not disappointed.Even though we got to see Gringotts and many different spectacular shops, the coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking my wand and getting an owl. I've always loved owls, but obviously they're not the most convenient pets in the muggle world. So when I read on the letter that we could pick between a rat, an owl, or a cat, I didn't even need to think about it for a moment. As for my wand, it was the most fantastic feeling in the world. I felt the power coursing through my veins as I flicked the stick.
I couldn't wait for my adventure at Hogwarts to begin!
