Nyx Celynwyn

Backstory

Nyx Celynwyn was born to a muggle mother and a pureblood father out of wedlock. With the tumultuous social climate, Nyx spent the first few years of their life with both parents, until they showed a strong affinity for magic. This caused a strain in their parents' relationship, as they knew that hiding Nyx's magic would be incredibly difficult, but also that their mother would struggle immensely in the wizarding world. So, after a lot of consideration and thought, they sent Nyx to go live with their paternal grandparents. While Nyx's paternal grandparents loved and cared for them, Nyx would grow to resent what they considered abandonment by their parents. Nyx's parents refrained from visiting outside of holidays and emergencies, as it was just too hard for them to be near their child. They had been living with their grandparents for years when Nyx's Hogwarts letter arrived, and finally, Nyx found a place where they could really feel accepted and loved for who they were.
