Backstory

My name's Lyra. I'm a Slytherin. I portray every single one of the Slytherin traits- along with being extremely intelligent and quite brave and for this reason I was a hatstall. As a first year at Hogwarts, my favourite classes are Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Potions and Flying. I hate History of Magic! I do quite well in Transfiguration, but it's not a favourite of mine. I'm a Halfblood, and I find a History of Magic boring for that reason- I know all of it already! I guess I'm lucky I'm not Muggleborn, I see the older Slytherins picking on them... My greatest strengths are I'm quick-thinking and intelligent, determined, and brave. My greatest weaknesses are falling in love (I can get very emotionally attached) and my tendency to act before I think. After I finish school, I want to be an Auror or a Magizooligist. I think the most fascinating aspect of magic is most certainly dark magic- why did anyone ever make up those awful spells? I plan to use my magic to help both me and others. I think I really want to find love, but also to be very successful, and live a life full of adventure. I have two pets- a baby niffler and a tawny owl. The niffler is called Nugget, and he is extremely naughty. The owl is Caramel and she's rather placid, and loves to be stroked. My family is quite a large one, and they've all been Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, so my older siblings like to taunt me for being a Slytherin. We love to go on holiday to Egypt. We have a large cottage house with lots of land. I have a treehouse.
When I was eight, my little sister ran off down Knockturn Alley. We went to find her and I got a look at dark things for my first time- I've been fascinated ever since, although I'd never turn to the dark arts myself.
My friends think I'm a little psycho.
