Irene Aoife Abbott

Backstory

My name is Irene Aoife Abbott and I'm a first year. My middle name is pronounced EE-fa, kind of like Eva. I'm from Kildare Town of County Kildare, Ireland. I'm a Hufflepuff. I'm a half-blood (which I say with pride) and love doing the Frog Choir. I love Herbology and Potions. I love the trips to Hogsmeade and it's kind of my sanctuary. I'm not very popular and that's not unusual for me. I'm really looking forward to the Magical Creatures class. When I graduate, I'd like to be an actress or an archivist, maybe both. Maybe I'll work at Hogsmeade someday. I love Occamy's and Banshee's fascinate me, and I hope to care for a Niffler one day. My parents divorced when I was young, and my mother, Hannah Abbott died on the job- she caught a rare and fatal illness from a patient. She was a Healer- she didn't want to give up her research for the cure, but the illness made her have to give up. My dad didn't know much about the wizarding world, so I was raised in a Muggle culture. This magical world is still a bit new, but I learned a lot about it over last summer, and I'm super psyched about it. My mom was a Hufflepuff, and she was one of the best Seekers Hufflepuff's team ever had, so I'm nervous I won't live up to her successes in sports.
