Backstory

I just finished my first year at Hogwarts! I'm in Ravenclaw, and have loved absolutely every second of Hogwarts! My favorite classes are Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms and Potions. I'm not sure what career I want to have when I finish my schooling, but some ideas that I've had are: healer, librarian, historian or potions master.

My Mum is from England but moved to America with my Dad (who is American) when they got married. My Dad works as an Engineer for an energy company, and my Mum works as a teacher (if you couldn't tell, they're both muggles). We were very surprised to get the letter to Hogwarts because as far as we know, no one in the family is magical (however, thanks to the stricter rules about no-mag/magicals in America, we definitely wouldn't know). I originally got a letter to Salem Witches Academy, but if I had accepted there, I would have been bound by the American no-Maj/Maj rules, which would basically mean I wouldn't have a family anymore. Luckily, because Mum is from England, I was able to request to transfer to Hogwarts. My family stayed in America, but visited over the Christmas holidays. They are not planning on relocating to England.
