Dimitri Lustrat

Backstory

Dimitri comes from a long line of pureblood wizards in a village hidden within the very depths of the Russian city of Novosibirsk. In the public eye, Dimitri’s father is the Chaser for the Russian Quidditch Team and his mother is a renowned Healer. However, they are also involved with the wizarding equivalent of the Russian mafia and are well-versed in the Dark Arts. To this day, Dimitri has no idea what they when they disappear for weeks at a time on what they call “missions,” but whatever it is, it isn’t exactly legal even in their community. In any case, it has put an ostentatious roof over their heads and has kept their bags lined with galleons, so he’s never asked questions. Since a young age, he’s always looked up to his parents and strives to follow in his father’s footsteps as a player for a national Quidditch league. He’s grown up playing the sport with his siblings, older brother Alek and twin sister Nessav. Dimitri secretly admires his older brother, and though he’s rubbish at Quidditch, what he lacks in athletic ability, he makes up for in intelligence. Dimitri and Nessav, though fraternal twins, could not be more different. She’s always been much more noble and righteous than Dimitri, and is constantly chastising him for his bad habits, accusing that he’s going to shame the entire family someday. The two bicker constantly and because their parents are oft away at work or on “business trips”, Alek typically has to step in and be the parent. As a result, the three Lustrat siblings are very close, even if it doesn’t appear that way at first glance. Though the Lustrats are native to Russia, Dimitri’s parents felt a sense of unease sending their children to Durmstrang, and feared their safety there, due to their particular line of work and moderate renown. Instead, the Lustrat children all attend Hogwarts, a disappointment Dimitri quickly got over once he received his letter. Alek is starting his fifth year and is also in Slytherin, while Nessav is starting her first year in Gryffindor.
