Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I didn’t know what it would mean. At first I thought it was just a joke, you know? I have a muggle mother and a squib father. He never even told us he was a squib tell I got my Hogwarts letter. So I only knew about the magical world from the Harry Potter books. My brother sometimes played pranks on me, or blamed me when some weird stuff happened around the house. How was I supposed to know regular pencils couldn’t change shape by will and houses weren't supposed to change to ice? Anyway, my parents were going to go shopping in London anyway and they figured they would humor me. The look on their face when we stopped by the Barren Bulldog pub and the sign said “The Leaky Cauldron” instead! The innkeeper was an odd but friendly man, and there were some people to help show us around. The coolest part of Diagon Alley was picking up Defense gear. I just love DADA! I might finish with “Dark Arts: A Guide to Self-Protection” before school even starts. But the best thing ever was when I went to this weird shop and I got a custom made wand which should help me because I have a ice elemental. Well, got to go, I have a defense book to read. Bye!
