Backstory

I’ve always considered myself a witch and I always knew there was magick. I mean, how could there not be, what with the existence of human life in the first place. What I didn’t know, was that I had a special kind of magic I thought was meant only for fantastical stories. Nevertheless, when I got my letter, I didn't doubt it for a second. The only problem was physically getting to Hogwarts ‘cause there's only so far I can go before having to explain where I was headed. How was I supposed to find magic if I didn't look for it? I had to take this journey alone. I know my parents thought I was finally losing it, but I didn't need them to find Diagon Alley. I found it on my own and I stayed on my own until I got here. I've sent them letters, or owls I guess, telling them how happy I am. They're confused, but I think it has eased their worry to know that I am in a good place. I won't tell them about the magic, but I will show them someday. “Some people only believe in what you can touch and feel, but magic does nothing if not touch the soul and there's no greater feeling than that.“
