Backstory

I could barely believe it when I my Hogwarts letter arrived, although I hoped for it to be true so badly, I didn't dare to get my hopes up too high. I am the oldest child in our family, so I have not met anyone who could show me the ropes at Hogwarts yet. Anyway, my suspicions that the magical world was too good to be true only added to my utter joy when I stood in Diagon Alley for the first time and actually bought all my school things. I am so excited to learn about magic and how to properly use it for good and what its origins are and so much more. And of course I am so excited to hopefully make new friends at Hogwarts! If I hadn't gone to Hogwarts, there would have been a lot of subjects I would have loved to major in, from music to languages to physics. I think I would have liked to become a scientist. But now I cannot wait to go to Hogwarts; I've never had any of the subjects that are listed on my letter but I thought they all sounded so interesting and exciting, especially after having read through the school books a bit. I reckon school is going to be a lot of work, too, but that's alright as long as it's still just slightly as wonderful as I imagine.
