Backstory

Hi, I'm Jamison H., a proud Hufflepuff. I'm Genderfluid and I believe I'm demisexual or Ace, and I'm panromantic. Basically, sexual attraction isn't real for me, but I can still have a romantic relationship, and said relationship is based on personality, nothing else. I prefer they/them pronouns, as I'm within the non-binary spectrum most of the time, though I'm usually bigender or a demiboy when I'm not NB. I was raised by my muggle mum, and I'm not sure if I'm a half-blood or muggle born, but if a pureblood ever calls me mudblood, the little piece of fool's gold will regret it. My favorite class is charms, but I'm mostly interested in potions and transfiguration, as I hope to help develop sex-switching spells or potions in the future, because right now the only ones who can help me and my fellow trans people are muggles, and it would be so much simpler with a spell, wouldn't it? I think that one of my greatest strength is my loyalty, which is the main reason I spent as long as I did with a certain tattered hat on my head. You see, I'd read the famous Harry Potter books like most muggles (or at least the ones I know) have, and taken multiple online quizzes to figure out my house, and I knew I was a Hufflepuff, but I'd prepared multiple points for a potential debate in case of the sorting hat trying to put me in another house. He seriously considered Ravenclaw because of that, but my points were rather convincing. I have a pet desert gecko named Dovehead that a friend of mine gave me because he wasn't able to keep up with constantly going to the nearby pet store to by live crickets for Dovehead to hunt in his cage (which is really just an empty fish tank). So now the little guy is mine, and I can usually find crickets for him to hunt around Hagrid's hut and the rest of the grounds. Using a summoning spell would be easier of course, but I haven't quite figured them out yet, and I'm not really comfortable asking an older student to help me by summoning crickets. I mean, how weird would that make me?
