Backstory

I am an American transfer student from Ilvermorny. I was originally a Pukwudgie, but I have been sorted as a Hufflepuff. I was sorted fairly quickly by the sorting hat by a process of elimination. Having done my research about Hogwarts and the four houses, I do not find the choice to be very surprising. So far I have found Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies, History of Magic, and Charms to be the most enjoyable. Although I am not too bad at Potions, I do not find it to be very enjoyable. I also do not care for Defense Against the Dark Arts, but that could also be due to the constant switching of professors. I am muggleborn, and have only really had trouble with students from Slytherin and a few entitled Gryffindor students. I feel my greatest strengths are my kindness and ability to treat everyone equally, despite blood status. I feel my greatest weaknesses are insecurity and not being able to stand up for myself. When I graduate I am stuck between wanting to be a Magizoologist, a Healer, or a teacher at Hogwarts. If I were to choose to be a teacher, it would either be for Herbology or Care of Magical Creatures. Even as an American, I know about He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. I am scared and confused, but I will not back down when it comes to protecting my family, friends, and school. What I find most fascinating about magic is the seemingly endless possibilities that come along with it. As for my future, I just want a nice, happy family and a good career. I want my kids to grow up in a safe and open environment where they can be themselves and not have to look over their shoulders constantly. I currently have a cat named Goose, who just does whatever he wants. The only unique thing about my family is that we are American. Anybody with eyes and ears that work can clearly tell.
