Parker

Backstory

Parker is a 1st year Hufflepuff student. He is a muggle-born and is the first wizard in his family. Parker's family isn't the most accepting of magic, coming from a religious background they don't view it in the best light. This comes across with his parents being passive-aggressive and not appreciating him practising magic around them. However, he has a little sister - Ivy (6 years-old) - who adores her big brother and loves hearing about Hogwarts.

Parker's sorting didn't take long, Hufflepuff being announced almost immediately. He's a pretty quiet student, staying mostly to himself, though he does enjoy joining in with the games played in the Hufflepuff common room. Herbology and potions are his favourite classes so far and while he does well in transfiguration he doesn't really enjoy the lessons, finding the theory boring.
Being a muggle-born means he still gets some discrimination from pure-bloods however since the wizarding war beliefs and prejudices are being actively challenged and so he is not targeted as much as he could have been in the past.

Parker's greatest strength is probably his caring nature, though some could see that as a weakness. He is also pretty stubborn and it can be hard to change his opinion. Since Parker is only in his second year at Hogwarts he's still not entirely sure what he wants to do once he graduates, however, he is interested in the Healer profession.
Parker is fascinated by the potential that magic has, all the different possibilities you can explore. He's also fascinated by the potions and healing side of magic as it can do so much more than just muggle medicine and he wonders what other potions could be made. Parker wants to use his magic to help others, however, he also wants to prove his parents wrong and show the good magic can do.
Jet is Parkers black cat who only really likes Parker and stays away from most other people. Jet seems to sense when Parker is feeling upset as will stay close beside him.
