Backstory

Being a muggleborn, I was very surprised - to say the least - when I got my invitation to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Odd things happened to me all the time as a child, but I never thought I would have been lucky enough to actually be a witch! My parents were so proud and I was absolutely elated. Not only was there finally an explanation for all the times I should have been seriously hurt but wasn't, or when my enemies were mildly yet strangely inconvenienced when I was most upset with them, but I was also going to be able to actually learn all about the incredible stories I've always heard about magic. Going to Diagon Alley to get my supplies was one of the best days of my life! These robes are so cool! I did not know anyone before school started so I wanted a pet to keep me company; I purchased a little tawny owl who I adore - his name is Harold. Rowing across the black lake, when I first saw Hogwarts, I knew immediately that I was home. The sorting hat quickly but surely named me a gryffindor. I love how cozy the common room is, and can't wait for classes to start! I am most excited for potions and defense against the dark arts, but divination and transfiguration seem fascinating, too! And I can't WAIT until third year when I can take care of magical creatures. I am so excited to begin my adventure!
