Hi there, my name is Arabella Linette McGowen. I was born in Glasglow, Scotland to William and Katherine McGowen. I am a pure-blood witch, like more than 10 generations of ancestral witches and wizards before me, and the heiress of the McGowen Family Estate.

I spent most of my childhood with nannies, tutors, and my governess, so attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a welcome change. I may look cold and unapproachable on the outside but most of the time it is just because I have other things on my mind.

I don't have many friends and that's okay with me for the most part. I often find it difficult to trust people because they are quick to judge me based on my family's spotted past with Deatheaters. My mother and father were accused of allegiance with the Dark Lord but were never found guilty of the crime. Despite this, many still treat my family as if we are active supporters of he-who-must-not-be-named.

I enjoy learning because I feel like it gives me an edge and prepares me to handle anything that may come at me in my life. I am well versed in traditional subjects like Magical History as well as several languages and musical instruments. My favorite subjects are Divination, Care of Magical Creatures and Potions. I have a pet barn owl named Arcadia and my wand is a 10 3/4" willow wood with a pheonix feather core.
