Backstory

From a halfblood family of an unaware and estranged Muggle father and a brilliant witch. Father just thinks I'm off at boarding school or Momma's house all the time, and when I'm with him it's strained and quiet. Momma was v disappointed when I was sorted into Slytherin, the Ravenclaw in her being very set in her ways. She encourages me to make friends from the other houses, and when I write to her about my snake family, she ignores those parts of my letters. I love animals and science of all kinds. Momma has always been well integrated into the Muggle world, enjoying the intersection between music, magic, and science, so I'm not oblivious to the Muggle world. I even have some American cousins but they don't really talk to us very much. Something about not being interested in their eccentric relatives. Momma's family is east coast magic, very snooty and pureblooded about it all. I get along best with my roommates and the Hufflepuffs down the hall. Best snacks. Also I play music physically and magically.
