Backstory

(Younger Student) When I received my Hogwarts Letter that faithful day, I didn’t know what it would mean. It seemed too unreal, too made up to be true. So I ignored the first letter. And the second and third too. I thought it was just a prank pulled on me by those mean kids at school. Anyway, when the fourth one came around, I started thinking that maybe it was real. My parents were both skeptical at first, but after long talks, I finally convinced them to go to the so called 'Diagon Alley' just to see what would happen. As you have probably guessed, it was not a prank and before you could say 'quidditch', my first year at Hogwarts started. I got sorted into Gryffindor, I had my very own wand made out of dragon heart strings and an owl that brought me letters from my muggle parents saying how proud they were of me every morning. Ah, it seemed like the dream! Only... it wasn't that easy to make friends, nor to keep up with Professor Snape's classes, nor to fly on a broomstick. I still hoped for the best.
