Backstory

I am a muggle born Hufflepuff. The hat knew it right away. My Dad is Navy and we moved to the UK when I turned 11. So not only am I muggle born, I am an American. It was definitely a shock to the family, but as fate may have it, I was in the right place at the right time. Pure blood jerks will always be an issue and now that I am older and starting to consider after school, there are some jobs that seem a little blood elitist, but I’ll make it. Now as I am navigating school in a different country, I am in love with everything. Herbology is my favorite, but I love the complexity and practicality of charms, transfiguration, and defense against the dark arts. Potions is not a strong suit, and neither is care of magical creatures. History of magic is fascinating, but muggle studies gets on my nerves real quick some days. But that’s okay, my adaptability to any situation is helping me through. That’s probably one of the reasons Hufflepuff chose me. I don’t trust easy or quickly at all, but the people in my house are certainly helping. Someday after school, I think it would be nice to have my own little shop on a magic street and help people along the way. Currently I have an owl named Bucky, who is very loyal and sassy, but he doesn’t mind pets every once in a while. Honestly, I just want to be happy and okay someday. Whatever that may look like, I know Hogwarts is the right place to start.
