Backstory

I come from a family of two half-blood Ravenclaws from a small village near Oxford. I also have a younger brother, who is a Gryffindor, and who nowadays works as a healer. Before getting our letters from Hogwarts, my brother and I had attended a nearby muggle school, where I have made a couple of great friends. To the present day, I am still very interested in muggle culture, I know a lot about their history and literature, and I also enjoy learning foreign languages.
At Hogwarts, I was quite a good student, and my all-time favourite subjects were potions and care of magical creatures. For a while, I have even dreamed of becoming a magizoologist, however later I changed my mind. At school I also met my life-long best friend: a muggle born Slytherin girl, who shared my interest in art, music and cinema, which a lot of other pure-blood and half-blood students couldn't understand.
After graduating from Hogwarts, I had worked for the Ministry of Magic for almost a year, however this career path seemed dull and boring, so I quickly gave it up. One of my biggest ever passions was writing, so a while later I decided to become a journalist for the Daily Prophet, which is where I still work today. As a part of my job, I travel the world and write short stories and articles on a broad variety of themes I love: magizoology, potions, curses, relations with muggles, art and international cultures..
