Interests: Her initial interests are in Potions and Transfiguration, though these will expand as she begins classes. Minerva McGonagall is a role model of hers and she hopes to one day become a young anamagus. She is afraid of flying and is one of the few Hogwarts students who hold zero interest in ever playing Quidditch, though she will attend matches to support her friends.

Other: Thin face, heart shaped face with defined cheekbones. She wears clear, round, browline glasses. She doesn’t wear makeup as she likes to keep her morning routine short so she can get right to classes, reading or studying. Tends to stick to the school uniform but on the weekend she sticks to simple styles that rely on layering when the weather gets cool.

Personality: Zedora is relatively shy and nerdy. Growing up in a split family home with a fairly secretive father has made her a bit unsure of herself. This has only been heightened by the fact that she was sorted into Slytherin when her whole family is Ravenclaws. She takes a little while to open up to people and often won’t be the first to initiate socialization. She is fiercely loyal to the friends she does make. She is very ambitious and spends much of her time reading and learning what she can, making her skills and talents a bit more advanced than others her age. She uses her studies as a means to discover who she is. She is known to use her magical abilities to stand up against bullies, though her means are rather stealthy which usually keeps her out of trouble.

Backstory:
She is a half-blood who comes from a split household. Despite being a bit weary of magic, her mother married her magical father and they had her three years into their marriage. Things were always a little strained as her father worked for the Ministry of Magic as an Unspeakable. He was always needing to use magic for his work and that often got brought home to some extent. However, once they had Zedora, things seemed to get better. Both her parents loved her very much and her mother really undertook raising her. However, her magical abilities started to show at a young age. They were small things at first, reaching objects on high shelves or brightening the lights when she laughed and her mother was mostly able to overlook them. But, when she was six years old, she managed to detach the cat’s tail from its body, which completely freaked her mother, especially since her father was at work at the time. Though neither of her parents would ever admit this, that was the moment that ultimately lead to their divorce.

Zedora spent the rest of her childhood living with her father in a typical magical household, though he wasn’t the most chatty or open about his magical abilities, and would spend a month of her summers with her mother. She often sends letter to her mother to keep in contact about her life and her mother doesn’t seem to mind hearing about the magical aspects of her life, as long as she keeps it to a minimum. She received her letter from Hogwarts with little background in magical topics. Despite this, she was always drawn most to the ideas of Transfiguration and Potions. Professor McGonagall was always an idol of hers and she set a goal early on to be a young anamagus like her. She became the first in her family to be sorted into Slytherin due to her deep ambition to discover herself and do something great. Her extended family looked down on her sorting, as she came from a long line of Ravenclaws and she does have a bright mind. Regardless, she is determined to do well in her classes and have pride in her house.
