Backstory

I was born in England, but my family moved to America eight years ago. I've grown up with the knowledge that when I turned eleven, we'd move back to our roots in England. I wasn't all that happy about it, but when I saw the castle, all my doubts vanished. This was where I wanted to be, and there was no way I wanted to leave.

      Gender: Female

      House: Totally Ravenclaw!!! (The Sorting Hat had to stop and think for a minute because I was thinking so fast!)

      Appearance: Tall and skinny (clothes never quite fit me, they're always a bit baggy), blue eyes and tangled brown hair (I have to use magic to get it fixed up, hairbrushes never really help), really freckled

      Personality: Outgoing, protective, enthusiastic, bookish, stubborn

      Family: Mom and Dad, Grandma Nani

      Job Interest: Healer, Magizoologist, Author, Librarian, MoM

      Wand: Cypress and Dragon Heartstring, 14 inches, inflexible

      Cypress wands are associated with nobility. The great medieval wandmaker, Geraint Ollivander, wrote that he was always honored to match a cypress wand, for he knew he was meeting a witch or wizard who would die a heroic death. Fortunately, in these less blood-thirsty times, the possessors of cypress wands are rarely called upon to lay down their lives, though doubtless many of them would do so if required. Wands of cypress find their soul mates among the brave, the bold, and the self-sacrificing: those who are unafraid to confront the shadows in their own and others’ natures. 

        The wands made from this core are typically the ones with the most power. They are capable of the flashiest spells and can be the most temperamental. These wands tend to bond strongly with their current owner but can also change allegiance if won by the original holder. Dragon Heartstring wands are also the easiest to turn to the dark arts and are prone to accidents.

      And yes, I copied those.

      Animagus: I want to become one, but I honestly don't want a Mandrake leaf in my mouth for a month(blech!)

      Patronus: A German shepherd

      The German shepherd is, by nature, a rescuer. They tend to seek out people in need of aid, and they gravitate toward them, having what you could call a hero complex. They are somewhat stoic in their emotional nature because they are much more interested in the needs of others rather than their own. Thoughts of materialistic objects and over-dramatic ideals are trivial to them, because they are very simple and basic in their needs, and comfortable that way. The most common house for a German shepherd patronus is Ravenclaw. HA! Take THAT! I don't know who should take it but just whatever.

      Boggart: Dead friends or family

     Quidditch Team: Holyhead Harpies, Tutshead Tornadoes

     Quidditch Position: Chaser

     Favorite Subject: Care of Magical Creatures

     Least Favorite Subject: Transfiguration (ever since I saw Professor Mitchell turn a rat into a dinner plate), also Potions, because I have a 'particular proclivity for pyrotechnics'

     Pets: I have a kneazle named Fern because she once destroyed my copy of Charlotte's Web, an owl named Rowena after my magical hero, and a hippogriff called Silva

     Blood Status: Muggle-born (I can HEAR YOU, all you awful people who think muggle-borns are mudbloods and I will PROVE YOU WRONG!)

     Likes: Wintertime, BOOKS, my friends, books AGAIN, MORE BOOKS, animals(especially birds and horses), windy days, ice-skating

     Dislikes: Dementors, mushrooms, spiders, the word porridge(brr), humid days, wasps, onions, cotton candy (yes, cotton candy), also the word banana

     Favorite Characters: Luna, Dumbledore, Newt Scamander, Hermione, Fred, George, Tina, Ginny, McGonagall, Sprout, Pomfrey, Hedwig(DIE ALL DEATH EATERS!!!!), Newt ( again)

      Favorite Hogwarts Pastime: I love to visit the library and look for some light reading (Merlin might get it), also I enjoy riding Silva above the lake on a winter day(or any day, but winter is nicest)

      Amortentia: That smell the air gets when it's about to rain, baby animal fur, really old books, brand new books, applewood smoke, echinacea flowers

     Least Favorite Characters: Jacob Kowalski(sorry, Kowalski fans out there!), Harry, James, Pansy Parkinson, Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange, WORMTAIL, I'LL KILL YOU PETTIGREW

       Merlin - Merlin is so nice and (hehe) probably the first person on here that agrees with my views. A wonderful Ravenclaw!! FYI, a conversation between us usually ends up something like this.

Merlin: Hey, Brightsky, (insert genius question or statement here). What do you think?

Me: OH MY GOSH SO TRUE!!! I LOVE THAT BOOK/MOVIE/PICTURE/ETC, ETC, ETC!!!!

       Matilda - Matilda is the closest person to the real meaning of Gryffindor House that I've met here. Matilda, you are so encouraging and nice... you are a wonderful person!

       Lizzie - I think ( don't trust me on this, I have a terrible memory for important things) Lizzie was one of the very first people who reached out to me with a really nice post. Lizzie, you're amazing!

       Beezer -  Wow, Beezer. Gimme some words here. You are so kind and amazing... also one of the few people on this site who manages to spell all of their posts correctly. Hehe.

       Moodys Best Ferret - Phoenix, you are so wonderful! Your books are only one aspect of your super-nice personality
