Backstory

I lived with my friend on the street for some time. I had run away from home and did NOT want to go back. I lived with my crazy Aunt who hated my mother. No kidding. Except this time there was a cat. A terrible viscous cat that bit at my legs. It was orange and my Aunt had named it Zody. Zody was the name of my sister. She said that she'd named it Zody because my mother was no good just like the stupid cat. The cat had yellow eyes and was always hissing at me. I just couldn't go back to that life of horror. I spent quite a lot of time at the mattress store, where me and my friend took refuge most nights. We used clocks we found at the mall to wake up early and get a move on to the food court, where we got all of our food. I had been missing for ages but my aunt hardly cared. She spent most of her time during the time I was missing trying to sell Zody, who of course my aunt hated. She had only kept the cat to torment my mother and have the cat bite and hiss at me. I had tried to stop stressing over a runaway. But, if I was found, my aunt would surely be angry. Not because she was worried, but because she wanted me to go away. Then something strange happened. I woke up at 3:30 am. And two letters sat on the bedside table. One from my friend, and another from a Hogwart? Hogwarts? I had no idea. My friend had left me to start his own life in Kentucky, where his grandmother lived. I was so angry and sad. But, I tried to focus on the Hogwarts note. Long story short, the letter had enough money in it to buy my supplies, and my tickets. So, without really knowing what I was getting into, left for Hogwarts. Now Hogwarts really is my home.
