Backstory

I was sorted into Ravenclaw. The sorting hat took a few moments to decide on which house I was going to be in. The hat was torn between Ravenclaw and Syltherin. Ravenclaw was the final choice as the hat said I possessed the traits of witty, creativity, and a yearning to learn more. The Slytherin traits were outnumbered. I am ambitious and cunning, but I am posses no leadership skills. This is my first year at Hogwarts, I'm both excited but also still very nervous. My favourite class is definitely Charms and Transfiguration. My least favourite class is most definitely Arithmancy. I do not like anything that deals with math or numbers that isn't Astronomy. I do extremely well in History of Magic, but Professor Binns makes the class unbearable with his droning on and on. My mother is a witch and my father is a muggle which makes me a half-blood witch. We live in the great Highlands of Scotland. I'm very proud of my status. It was rough during the war being half-blood. Both sides expected us to be on their side and fight for the good or the bad. My family and I stayed out of the war as long as we could, but ended up having to fight. My mother and I fought alongside the Order of the Phoenix and helped defned the castle during the Battle of Hogwarts. We sent my father to Italy with his mind altered to where he thought he was on a very important business trip and that his family was traveling the world. During the war we stayed at home in Scotland for as long as we possibly could. We put protection charms over our house as well as our entire village we were living in at the time. We have now moved to another village that is closer to Edinburgh. My greatest strength is my loyalty and dedication to my friends and family. My greatest weakness would be my own thoughts and anxiety making me doubt myself. After school I plan to move back to Scotland and work as a metal charmer. The charming and transfiguring of different metals to make different objects and each one have an unique personality. I find the ability to transfigure and charm mundane things into either a joke or a useful item is incredibly fascinating. Those are two things I will never get tired of and will never stop amazing me. With my magic I would like to further myself and my knowledge of the world. However, I would not deny or refuse to help anyone who needed help. What I really want is to better myself and make myself truly happy. I just want to be happy and be smarter and wittier than most. I have one gray calico cat. Her name is Athena, named after the Greek goddess Athena. True to her name, she acts like a goddess and expects everyone to do her bidding. She's very playful but also temperamental at times. My mother and father sometimes disagree about when and when not to use magic around the house. My father often wants my mother to use magic to hurry things up and make doing tasks easier and faster. My mother, however, wants to do things manually and like Muggles. I like to keep my hair a salmon pink color.
