Backstory

I was not surprised to be sorted in Slytherin, as I have been described by others as someone who is both clever and resourceful. I’ll also admit that I do not always value honesty and may use deceit in order to get my way. However, I treasure my close friends and would never want to break their trust; In fact, I am someone who values genuine friendship above everything else. As for my family, I come from a long line of purebloods, like many of us Slytherins do. My family doesn’t have the same prestige as some other famous pureblood bloodlines, though, mostly due to my mother and father’s intense love for the muggle world. Incidentally, I was born in Québec City and lived there almost my entire life, up until my family and I moved to the Wizarding World so I could attend Hogwarts. I have a great love for this school, as I have learned so much here and have met some lifelong friends. My favorite subject that I have taken so far is Transfiguration and Defense against the Dark Arts. I do not consider myself to be an overly smart person, but I find ways to succeed even if I have to use unconventional methods. My cleverness is what almost got me sorted into Ravenclaw, but I ultimately decided on Slytherin because I wanted to make my family proud. I am not particularly fond of my house’s reputation, particularly the evil aspect, but the Slytherins have made me feel at home in Hogwarts. When I’m not working on assignments or studying, I can often be found playing gobstones in the Slytherin common room with my dorm mates or curling up on the sofa with my pet cat. I have a three year old Norwegian forest cat named Applejack. She was gifted to me by my parents as a way of celebrating my acceptance into Hogwarts. Her black and orange tortoiseshell fur is long and luxurious, her eyes pale yellow. Unexpectedly, she gets along with my two friends’ pets, both of which are owls. I have two close friends I’ve met since starting school at Hogwarts, one Ravenclaw and one Gryffindor. It’s a bit hard to hang out sometimes due to our different houses, but we still manage to spend most days together. Some of our favorite activities are exploring the Hogwarts grounds, visiting Hogsmeade, and helping Professor Anne take care of the magical creatures. I haven’t been here long, I’m just a first year afterall, but I already love it here and am looking forward to the adventures and discoveries that lie ahead. I hope to see you all around!
