Backstory

Sorted into gryffindor-although her family comes from a long line of ravenclaws and slytherins-for her bravery and stubbornness once she makes a decision, but her consistent kindness towards whoever she meets. The hat took the longest on her for her year, taking 7 full minutes before finally calling gryffindor (much to her and her family’s disappointment) She naturally thrives in defense against the dark arts but never seemed to get a hang of herbology. (Its her least favourite because if she can’t ace it then she doesn’t want to do it at all) She also loves muggle studies, but already knows most of it (although her parents would never help her learn any of it) A pure blood from a notoriously wealthy family, she’s never experienced any discrimination because of her status but does believe that judging someone on it is just silly. She dreams of being a defence against the dark arts teacher after she finishes school, she’s always felt drawn to learning about the dark arts, although her fascination scares her a little. She thinks she’d like to use her knowledge to help people defend themselves and to not repeat the wizarding worlds blood stained history, but sometimes questions if that’s her only motivation. Her family has previous history with the dark arts and Voldemort, although her parents would never acknowledge it. So she’s left wondering if something is wrong with her or if her draw to the dark arts is somehow in her blood.
