Backstory

Elyna is a first year at Hogwarts. Despite her status as a half-blood, the girl knows very little about the magical world. Her family situation was a bit different from most. Her dad is a wizard while her mother is a muggle. The part that makes her childhood different from other half-bloods though is that she was raised only by her muggle mother. Her parents divorced when she was three years old, causing her mother to take her and her sister back to America to live with her family. Since she was born in England though, she was written into Hogwart's book of future attendees at birth, hence her education taking place there and not at Ilvermorny.

Currently, Elyna is the only one in her family attending Hogwarts. Her older sister, Ashlyn, did not inherit any magical ability and her half brother, Thomas (through her father's second marriage), won't being attending for another year. Navigating this foreign world of magic all by herself seems like a daunting task, but one this girl is willing to put a brave face on and navigate through.
