Backstory

I was sorted into Slytherin house, due to my ambition and determination, which comes from an innate desire to prove myself in everything I do. The Sorting Hat took a long time (almost 5 minutes!) to pick between Gryffindor and Slytherin, because of the battles I overcame to reach school, and those it knew I would face as I passed though it’s halls. Sometimes I think the Hat can see the future. I really enjoy Potions and Ancient Runes, although my favourite subject is definitely Astronomy, closely followed by Care of Magical Creatures. I just love the night sky. History of Magic is actually really interesting too, when you get past Professor Binns. I’m a half-blood, although I was still raised in a muggle fashion, and my father never told me about it until I received my letter, so I’m pretty much muggleborn. My mother still hasn’t taken to my magical abilities. Quite frankly, she hates it as it reminds her of my father. In the Wizarding World, my blood-status rarely affects me, other than the odd complete bigot. But those are everywhere, and it’s something we will all have to deal with in some aspect of our lives. I do not know what my greatest strength is, I often feel as if I have none. But the one thing I always pride myself on is my pure dedication to anything I do, be it coursework or a lifestyle change. I have many weaknesses, but I rarely let people close enough to me to figure them out. My father tells me that my greatest weakness is my heart; I say it’s my head. Or rather, my head is my own worst enemy. He says my heart is too big, and that I focus on other people’s feelings and opinions over my own too much. When I leave school, I hope to become a Musician or Dragon Keeper, and travel the world. I did a exchange program for half a year in Japan’s Wizarding school, Mahoutokoro. It was a truly incredible experience, and I’m hoping to visit there again one day. I hope one day to travel the world helping others though their turmoils, magical or otherwise, all the while learning more about the Magical world, and indulging myself in the rich cultures of the places I visit. I have a pet cat named Dax, whom I found wandering around the streets as a newborn kitten. He acts like my best friend, and is somewhat of an emotional support cat. My mother and I don’t get on, due to neglect and abuse. My father is much more caring of me, and far more accepting of various aspects of my life.
