Backstory

My mother works at Ollivander's, and my father was a former beast tamer. Being from a wizarding family, I always dreamed of going to Hogwarts, and that dream came true when I received my letter on my 11th birthday. We went to Ollivander's first, where my mother helped me pick out my wand, since she knows me best. Mine is a Beech wood wand with a phoenix feather core, 12" exactly, and is surprisingly springy! Then, we went to Eeylops Owl Emporium, where I decided to get a Barn Owl. I named the owl Tabor! Tabor and I then head to Hogwarts a few months later (since my birthday is in June), and we board the Hogwarts Express!! I leave Tabor, which I'm sad about because we have become quite close, and get sorted into Ravenclaw!! I'm so happy and after the ceremony is the most wonderful feast. The moment I'm dreading, going up to my dorm, is approaching. But I learn how the Ravenclaw tower door works, and stay in the common room for as long as I can before I finally succumb to the temptation and head towards the GIRLS dorms. I don't want to go, because I'm not a girl at heart. See, I'm trans, but I have yet to tell my fellow classmates. I told my parents at age 9. and they thankfully accepted me. My letter even had my preferred name on it and I was called to the front of the Hall by that name as well!! Interestingly, I am unable to get into the dorms. Puzzled, I see a group of older girls giggling, before one of them informs me that there are no boys allowed in the girls dorms. Confused, as my biology is still female, I try the boys dorms where I hear Tabor calling me, and to my shock I am let in! I find all of my belongings there and I settle in for my first ever year at Hogwarts.
