Backstory
Xynia Nightlock, age 18;
She had been raised by the sea, in a house right by the bay, really.
Watching the waves hit the sand during sunset engraved a deep love of water in her.
She took weekly trips down to the library, singing her songs of love and joy.
Xynia read of wondrous worlds of magic and water, of mermaids and fairies, and magical beings.
But did she ever dream of being magical herself?
Definitely not.
So on the faithful day that her letter arrived, she was absolutely confused.
She wasn't magical.
She was just a little girl who loved collecting the seashells collecting by the ocean.
Xynia hadn't even learned what it meant to be loved yet.
And she had to go away from her family...forever?
Her departure was as teary as expected.
Was she really going away forever? Never returning?
Her smile was the brightest as she learnt the truth;
She was magical, and were going to a school, only for a few months.
Her favorite part, was the icy lake.
