Backstory

(Older student) My parents not only had no idea what a 'Hogwarts' was when I got my letter, nor did they feel much pride when they discovered that I was a witch. And yet they still tolerate my existence. I've been here for 16 years, sorted into Slytherin (much to my disdain). Thought I was going to be sorted to Gryffindor or something of the sort. And yet the second the hat was placed on my head it shouted 'Slytherin', so I guess that's what's supposed to be. Enough about that. What I'm here to tell you? Hogwarts is a piece of cake! For Purebloods, that is. I'm Muggle-born, and proud of it. Own it, younglings. I, to this day, have no idea what I'm doing! My parents are both Muggles and had no idea magic outside of parlor tricks existed. They weren't thrilled with me being a witch at first, not at all, but they came around. Let me tell you-you can be the best witch or wizard at this school, and you don't have to have an ounce of magical ancestry in your blood. Just look at me.
