Backstory

My name is Stella Mikaelson and I come from a family of extremely powerful wizards. Us Mikaelsons are mostly known as the only ones in the world who are able to control dragons. This unique ability has been running in our so-called ‘dragon blood’ for centuries. We are one of the most powerful and respected wizarding families, also well-known for our signature golden hair and aquamarine eyes. We have a golden dragon flying over a white field on our coat of arms. Each member of the family is given a dragon egg as a present for their 10th birthday, only a year before starting school. When the egg hatches, they must learn how to take care of the baby dragon by themselves and start taming it as it grows bigger and bigger. For my 10th birthday my parents gave an egg of an antipodean opaleye which is said to be the most beautiful dragon of all with its pearly scales and multicoloured pupil-less eyes. When the egg hatched I learned that it was actually a she-dragon, so I named her Meleys. When I got my Hogwarts acceptance letter, my mother was slightly disappointed because she had hoped for me to get into Beauxbatons but I, however, was very excited. The sorting hat put me in Slytherin which wasn’t a surprise because every other member of my family has also been sorted into Slytherin. All the teachers respected me and treated me as their equal because of my natural talent for spells, potions, transfiguration, flying,... And because of my my family name obviously. Lots of students wanted to be friends with me. They either admired me or were scared of me. They were well aware of my family’s reputation. I enjoyed it at first but eventually it got really annoying. Anyways, I made a few very close friends in Slytherin. I was also allowed to bring Meleys to school with me. We had an unbreakable bond. She was kept in the dungeons and I came to check up on her multiple times a day to feed her and pet her. Years passed as Meleys grew bigger and more dangerous, so they built her a huge arena outside the school on castle grounds due to my parents’ request. I would ride her every weekend and flew over the Forbidden Forest and all around Hogwarts. A lot of students were scared of her and started spreading rumours that every time someone made me angry, I would feed them to Meleys. That was stupid! Other than myself, Hagrid was the only one who ever checked up on the she-dragon. In my fourth year, Harry Potter came to Hogwarts. We never talked until the Triwizard Tournament. He learned about the first task with dragons and asked for my help with taming the beasts. Meleys was thankfully not one of the unfortunate dragons used in the tournament. I taught the Gryffindor everything I know about dragons and even let him meet my own. He thanked me and eventually won the Triwizard Tournament. After I graduated, I started traveling the world on Meleys’ back. During the Battle of Hogwarts, I helped defeat the Dark Lord and later continued my journey around the world.
