Backstory

It is the year 2334. After several world wars, as well as periods of peace and rebuilding, most former towns have either been reclaimed by nature, or re-cultivated by skillful farmers. A few large cities remain, though greatly changed.

The population of Earth has decreased by 75%, and, at least in the Wizarding World, ideas of being pure blood/half blood/muggle born are mostly a thing of the past.

Pockets is a professor of Interdimensional Magic at Hogwarts, in what used to be the United Kingdom.

Nicknamed "Pockets" after their uncanny knack for creating temporary windows into parallel worlds, they teach students how to access these dimensions using a fusion of technology and magic - two things that were, in the past, kept so separate.

As a student, they were sorted into Slytherin, though two more houses have been added in the last 100 years to reflect the drastic changes in the magic and culture of the Wizarding World.

No one is sure how old they are, or how long they have taught at Hogwarts.

Their patronus is a fox.

They are busy researching ways to create more reliable bridges between realities - a move which is proving to be quite controversial
