Backstory

From a young age, my fondness for history and its study had brought me much hardship with my growth in a Muggle community; many people, including my parents, found it odd that I would rather stick my head in a good history book then go outside and play with the other Muggle children. With an emphasis on my parents being a Muggle, this brought many a surprise that I was to be accepted into Hogwarts; I had never pictured myself being anything other than the silent nerd, and that was a similar case in this highly prestigious school. As I went through my school life, being accepted into the Ravenclaw House and keeping up with the homework that began to pile itself almost magically, my career pathway became almost illuminated for me. History of Magic was always my strongest subject and that is what I felt would fit me well. All of this was nearly 23 years ago now. I now stand at the height of my career as a new breakthrough in Ancient Baghdad may unlock several secrets to magic and, specifically, ancient magic.
