Backstory

I'm a 6th year Hufflepuff, with hopes to go into teaching once I've got a bit of real-world experience. My family's French, but we moved up to Northumberland in time for me to lose the accent. I'm the only one out of my family to be a witch, as far as we know. Maybe some distant great-uncle's magic got lost to time. To be honest, I'm not certain why I'm a Hufflepuff; I do think it's important to be kind, and I'd like to think that I am, but I have trouble keeping my sarcasm in check. But the Hat was sure, and my housemates are nice enough, so here we are! I'm a big fan of Charms and History of Magic, but CoMC is not exactly my forte. I procrastinate rather terribly and startle easily, which isn't the best combination when working with living things that you've got to care for. I do have a cat, but he's rather aloof and independent and only occasionally decides to honor me with a visit, so I guess he's not wanting for my company much.
