Aurora Cygnus

Backstory

Aurora is a pure blood witch born into a moderately wealthy family of witches and wizards. Though pure blood is preferred in family marriage, any blood will do, as the Cygnus family does not believe in belittling muggles or treating them as lesser beings. As a young girl she was very loyal to her friends, and very studious in school. Her powers became apparently at an early age, with a special interest in plants and creatures.
Upon receiving her acceptance letter to Hogwarts, her mother took her to Diagon alley, where she was chosen by a wand if cherry wood and dragon heart string, 13 inches and slightly flexible.
Aurora was a hatstall - it took a moment for the hat to sort her, as she had strong traits for both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. However, her loyalty and honesty as a person just barely overpowered her values for intelligence, and she was sorted into Hufflepuff.
Aurora wishes to be a healer, and has a passion for helping people. She loves plants and animals, the stars in the sky and the ocean. Her best subjects involve science, English, and literature, while - ironically - her worst subjects are math and history. She is a good friend, and would give her life to protect those the cares about. She has a temper, but mostly manages to keep it in check. She also has a pet cat, black with a gold crescent moon and star on its forehead, that she calls Mooney. She is very intelligent and diligent in her studies, sometimes to the point that others must remind her to take a break. She also has an unfortunate fondness for sweets.
