Backstory

I decided to become a Hit Wizard when I took note of the lack of action Aurors tend to take. It isn't like I don't respect them, it's just that i think their methods are too passive. I was one initially. In fact many of the Aurors I knew were Ravenclaw, which is interesting, because Ravenclaws usually turn out to be something less... physical?
I'm a Ravenclaw at heart, but I was sorted into Gryffindor (surprising considering that i'm a Half-Blood who comes from a long line of Ravenclaws). I accepted it openly. My Siamese cat Argentum was visually impartial as usual, but I could tell that he was more confused than anybody about my placement. You see, I had gotten particularly good at reading my cat's emotions (which in retrospect isn't surprising), so I know deep down he disapproved and wanted me to go back to talk to someone about it. I think he thought I should have been placed into the Slytherin house for some reason. Never really trusted them.
I only "disliked" Slytherins because it was expected of me. I can totally respect their innate ambition and determination, even if some of them are disgusting little turds that need to be removed (you know who i'm talking about). In my experience, though, Slytherins tend to be the most guilty of dark magics. Sure, I've put down a Hufflepuff or two here and there, maybe a Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, but the one type of person I can always count on being present and participant is a Slytherin.
[But none of that is necessarily backstory, just character insight.]
Dad's a muggle. Sister's a muggle, probably. Mom's a witch.
