Backstory

After seven and a half years, where ze spent over several hundred hours learning the technique of picking the best branches for fiber and learning over three hundred and seventy six hundred identifiable roots, plants, and herbs, Vesper gained the title of Second Level Apprentice to a Master of ink and pigment. Ze is still considering whether ink sticks are the right course for zim, but has started picking up an interest in the methodical, nuanced work of papermaking -- an essential backbone to a wizarding society that relies heavily on various qualities of parchment. To anyone else, achieving the finest color of black ink or the most balanced weight of handmade parchment paper might not be the most interesting career objectives, but Vesper is a dedicated student in these arts. After all, the moving portraits of the magical world can't be painted without the oil paint themselves, and who else to make these things? An abysmal representative of Ravenclaw house in nearly every aspect, Vesper's intense and studious nature only reveals itself in this nuanced, behind-the-scenes and often overlooked industry.
