Backstory

My name is Athena Estelle Mcgonnagal. I'm 28 years old and a proud half blood witch. My father, Matthew, was a muggle lawyer. He left my mother when i was only 3 but he remained a huge part of my life. He recently passed away and I found out that my childhood best friend Stella Bones was actually my half sister. My mother, Regina, and her sister Minerva, were both very talented witches. My mother was sorted immediately into Ravenclaw House but my aunt was a Hatstall, it took the Sorting Hat 5 and a half minutes to ultimately place her in Gryffindor House. She later went on to become Head of Gryffindor House and Deputy Headmistress, I am following in her footsteps. My mother on the other hand, was an exceptional Healer at St. Mungos Hospital. When I came to Hogwarts in 2001, I again took after my aunt in the fact of being a Hatstall between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor and being placed in the latter. I excelled in Transfiguration as did both my mother and my aunt, so much so that I followed my aunt in becoming the Transfiguration professer when she stepped up to take the Headmistress post when the previous Headmaster Albus Dumbledore died. On the subject of Dumbledore, my schoolgirl crush was the late Headmaster's grandson Brian Percival, he was 2 years older than I was. Brian also stayed at Hogwarts after he graduated as the Muggle Studies teacher and Deputy Headmaster. We continued our friendship, but as the years progressed, our friendship became more and more in depth and I found myself falling in love with him. I was 26 and he was 28 when his grandfather Albus passed away and being that he was Deputy he took over the school immediately asking me to be his Deputy Headmistress, which I accepted with much enthusiasm. As the days passed each year, I found myself falling deeper and deeper in love with him until finally 2 years later, a week before the start of the 2018-2019 school year, he finally comes to me admitting that he has feelings for me and we begin a secret relationship as he was worried about what the Ministry would say of it and worried for our jobs.
