Backstory

When I received my Hogwarts letter, my first thought was, oh no! How will I pay for any of this?! I have a poor family. I live with my elder brother, who already goes to Hogwarts, my mum and my dad. My brother and I are both muggle-born, but since he was first, I already knew about the wizarding world. My parents were never nice to us again when they found out that we were magic, so one day they just, drove off. We've been living in the Leaky Cauldron ever since...
Anyways, I sent the letter back, and went straight to Diagon Alley to earn some money. After weeks and weeks of helping out everywhere, I finally had enough! I bought my school supplies, and before I knew it, I was off!
When I stepped through the barrier, I suddenly felt shy, there were so many people! Most had expensive looking robes and books, and some had haughty expressions on their faces.
Now I will live out my first year at Hogwarts!
