Backstory

Some could say that I was the outcast of my family. For years, it was believed by my all too distant mother and father that I was in fact a squib - an idea which both terrified and ashamed them. After all, they do believe that our bloodline is wholly pure, containing only the best and bravest of Witches and Wizards who had never failed to thrive in the house of Gryffindoor throughout their time at Hogwarts. That was ;perhaps why my parents had been so apprehensive to allow me to go to Hogwarts since they couldn't risk our family name being tainted by me. This disappointment was a huge part of what drove me to crave the knowledge that would mean I would be seen as great as any of my ancestors were. Yet, this yearning to learn secured me in a house which broke a log lasting chain in my family - I had been placed in Ravenclaw. Over this first year I have proven to my family that I am indeed not even close to a squib, which might have softened the disdain I see in their eyes whenever they look at me. Though I have gotten over it. Instead of dwelling on it, I put all of my effort into excelling at school. I would say I am well rounded in my subjects - all apart from Care of Magical Creatures which I cannot seem to be able to find the enthusiasm for - though Potions is by far my strongest.
